Kristi Howard-Shultz Consulting
Kristi Howard Shultz is a fundraiser, entrepruner, and community leader. She won her first grant at the age of 16, a United Way Youth as Resources grant, and a fundraiser was born! Raised in Indiana, her nonprofit management career began nearly 20 years ago in New York City. After earning her master’s in social work at New York University, she stayed there to work in community development. She has gone on to work in program and development director roles for organizations including nationally-known, time-tested institutions like Scouts BSA (formerly the Boy Scouts of America), Big Brothers Big Sisters, and the Boys & Girls Club.
Always one to pursue growth and hone skills, she is a proud graduate of the United Way Youth Leadership Initiative, Women United, and the Central Indiana Community Foundation’s Women’s Fund OPTIONS Program. She has also completed training with the Gallup Institute, Franklin Covey, Sandler Sales System, and Six Sigma.

Together, she and her husband are raising two bright and busy boys in Indianapolis. She is a proud extrovert who is genuinely curious about people and enjoys making new friends. In her “spare” time, you can catch her on the local CBS affiliate where she is a regular contributor and blogger discussing all things parenthood--including work-life balance! Inspired to start her own business during her husband’s 2018 deployment, she now works with non profits to maximize thier mission through more effective fundraising.
